12 Latin Recipes For a Latin Flavored Thanksgiving

As you know, Thanksgiving is a holiday traditionally celebrated in the United States; it was created in the US. However, many people from different countries have adopted Thanksgiving, and adapted this celebration to their own culture.
For example, Puerto Ricans have invented the "pavochón": a turkey cooked (and flavored) as roasted pork.
"We spice it as if it were a suckling pig, two or three days before roasting it, because turkey is tasteless; this way it turns out juicy and soft as a pork rump" says Tomas McManus, a restaurant owner.
Interesting, isn't it? It doesn't matter if you're an American citizen, a Latino living in the U.S. or in Latin America. The important thing is to gather the family around the dinner table and to be thankful. If you would like to try a Latin recipe for Thanksgiving, here are some suggestions (in Spanish):

12 - Tarta sureña de pacana
