I've been meaning to mention this blog for quite some time: A Year In Uruguay. In this blog, Chuck Stull tell as:
"I teach economics at Kalamazoo College. My wife is also an economist. We have a daughter who doesn't want to be an economist. We're in Uruguay for this academic year. My step-son is in college at FIU."
A Year in Uruguay is a terrific blog. Chuck writes (in English) about Uruguay and Uruguayan things. There you'll find a lot of photos, videos and descriptions about how is it like, living day by day here in Montevideo.
I live here, and I'm familiar with everything he writes about. But it's pretty interesting to see those things from a foreigner point of view; he sees what I don't even notice anymore. He reminds me of things I've forgotten about, or shows them under a different light.
Food, landscapes, flowers, trivial scenes, autochton fauna, nothing escapes from his curious eye. Chuck also tells us about his trips inside the country.
Some of the entries I've enjoyed the most:
Making Chorizo (with a short video)
Everyday Montevideo (excellent 3:33 video)
Made in USA
Tortas Fritas
Carnaval, The Real End (2:30 video)
A Year in Uruguay is a fun, interesting and entertaining blog. I like it very much! Check it out.
