Ana Claudia Talancón Will Play Title Role for HBO

Mexican actress Ana Claudia Talancón confirmed her participation in Whitney, HBO's comedy pilot, which will be shot in Miami.
"I'm very excited because I'm starting this series for HBO" said Talancón.
The actress (The Crime of Father Amaro) also said she's happy because she won't be playing a "Latin woman stereotype", but a leading role that has nothing to do with her nationality.
The character - Whitney - is a self-confident woman who easily manipulates men, making each one believe he's the only one in her life.
The series is centered on Whitney and her group of friends, all ascending females in the world of politics: "Young women in Miami who play and win at the game of sexual politics."
The initial idea sounds interesting - a Mexican actress casted for a role that has nothing to do with her heritage. The storyline - young women using sex for politics matters - seems original and controversial. Let's see how it goes.
