Best Cheap Meals in Mexico

A wonderful Mexican convenience is what is known as comida corrida. What do I love about it? It's an option other than the usual fast food or restaurant food that doesn't involve me washing dishes. What you get is a home cooked meal, which varies every day, just as it would in an actual home.

Look for signs that say comida corrida or cocina económica or lonchería.

What you'll get varies, but a typical meal has three courses served with tortillas and a beverage... for under $5. Not only do you get to eat wonderfully well for very little money, you'll experience local cuisine and culture in the process.
