Can you believe this? In Cienfuegos, a beach town near La Habana (Cuba), the people is very happy because they can eat Meat. They have received 227 grams of bovine meat from the Government, for the first time since the 90's crisis.

These people are so screwed up (by Fidel, I mean) they are celebrating half pound of meat (which is rationed and costs 7 dollar cents per kilo) as if it was a miracle or a blessing.

"There are people who have told me they don't know how they are going to eat the meat, because they haven't seen it for so long," said Senaida Cosal, an elder housewife, to Reuters.

Yairma Perez, a teacher, said: "We have received it with joy, because it shows how much the revolution has advanced (...) we can see how the country is recovering."

Oh my f*cking GOD! Half a pound of meat, almost 20 years later, really shows how "the revolution" is making progress. And Cubans receive it with joy. 227 grams of bovine meat.

And they don't even know when they will see meat again. Some say every other month, others say every three months. But they are happy. The revolution is progressing, the country is recovering!

After all, they are used to eat "picadillo enriquecido", a mix of grounded meat and soy. If you want real meat, you must be able to pay U$S 4,60 per kilo in the black market.

And you must be whiling to be arrested; you can get between 3 months and 5 years for buying meat on the black market. If you don't want to go to jail, you must pay U$S 7,00 per kilo, which is equivalent to three weeks of wage.

But the revolution is making progress, and that's what matter.
