I'm beginning to doubt. Argentinian ex-President Fernando de la Rúa, denied all the rumors on a future marriage of Shakira and his son, Antonio de la Rúa:

"No, every three months they invent some thing", said de la Rúa to Jorge Fontevecchia, director of "Perfil", when asked in an interview about the rumored wedding in September.

The ex-president talked about his future daughter-in-law in very positive terms: "I'm proud of shakira. She's very intelligent and a great person".

De la Rúa also said Shakira is "the world's most famous South American" and that Antonio hit the jackpot with Shakira: "All my children, in a way or another, have won the lottery with the partners they've found... It's not about the conquest like feat, but it's about the love of two young people who were so questioned when they got together, so attacked..."

About how is Shakira in "private", De la Rúa says: "I don't think she has double personality, (...). As she sing and dance, giving herself away entirely, she does in the affection to her family, her parents, to us."

One of the most popular Shakira's songs, "Dias de Enero", was inspired by the traumatic resignation of the ex-president, in December 2001. Fernando de la Rúa values the song: "It's not a consolation song, is an inspiration song for them, about their feelings during the days after my resignation, when Antonio met with her in the U.S.A."

During his father's period (1999-2001), Antonio was associated with the "power in the shadows". The President's son was considered the true "strong man" in the Government, even during the disturbances that ended with twenty dead. "Antonio - says the ex-President - was unfairly attacked."

Without refusing to answer a single question, Fernando de la Rúa answers directly to intimate questions: "No," he insists, explaining once again that he had never consumed Viagra; despite the photos taken from his office. "Absolutely, no. This is a campaign trying to create a scandal, totally false. We are very united ", Fernando says about his marriage.

Hum. If the father-in-law "to be" himself says there's no wedding... One could doubt if there will be a wedding. But again, why didn't Shakira herself denied it, when she was asked? Double hum.
