Free College Education for Everyone

We all know education is important, and the lack of it is a big disadvantage.
The problem for Latinos (and low-income workers in general) is it's hard to get a good education, if you don't have a huge amount of money to spend on it. Or isn't it?
Well, maybe not so much. Maybe you don't have big bucks to spend on a college degree (how many Latin students there are, let's say, on Yale?), but you can learn a LOT on the Internet.
I know, it's not the same as getting a degree, but it will certainly give you a good advantage.
I've found this site on Del.ici.ous:
A Massive Resource List for All Autodidacts.
It's really amazing what you can find here. Check out the topics of the list:
- Berkeley Courses With Video Lectures
- Sites Offering Free Courses
- Free Online documentaries
- Educational Videos
- Learn Languages on iTunes
- Education With Podcasting
- Useful Free Software For Students
- Reference Sites
- Web 2.0 For Students
- Ask Questions
- Tiny Flash Freeware
- Free Ebooks
- Learn Languages
- Free Ear Training Software
Under each topic you can find many resources. From Human Nutrition to Physics and Astronomy; free courses offered by the MIT, John Hopkins, Oxford, Harvard and many other excellent colleges; software, language courses, ebooks... The list is really worth a visit.
The author, Jimmy Ruska, also wrote a good and extensive multi-page article about Free Education. Don't miss it.
So, what are you waiting for? Your college education is waiting for you!
