Have You Found Your Tribe in MySpace Latino?

I've just realized why MySpace is so popular, despite its flaws (confusing, visually annoying, spam, etc.). Oh my god, I can't believe I've spent the whole afternoon browsing profiles and groups.

I'm highly frustrated. I've hardly found anything interesting for me, and I thought "I should just give up" several times. But I didn't. I kept looking, and searching, and browsing. I got more and more frustrated, but I'm still there. It seems that searching for people with similar interests is very addictive - and I guess not only to me. I suppose the desire (or need) of finding the group/tribe to which you belong is as strong today, as it was back in the stone age.

I'm frustrated because I wanted to find some groups to join - groups for Latinas, about our interests, issues, lifestyle and heritage. And guess what? I haven't found a single one!!! There are several groups about Latinas (or latin women), but they are all focused on "sexy photos", "eye candy", "sugar daddy" and "sugar baby" - they are all about sex, actually. I hate this - why every time I search anywhere in the web for "Latina" or "Latin women" the results are mostly about sex and porn?

I finally joined two groups - Latinoamericanos and World Languages - but none of those is anywhere close to what I was looking for.

I would create a group myself, but you are only allow to do that after being a member for at least seven days (because of spam, of course). I'll probably create a group as soon as I can, but it would be nice to get in touch with more Latinas. So, if you're a member of (or know about) a nice, good group of Latinas in MySpace, please leave a comment or drop me a line. I'll be really grateful!
