HFCS is Evil

Sodas are sweet, bubbly, delicious, and seductive nectar from hell. Why? High fructose corn syrup.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not giving up coke for love or money, but I'm keeping much better track of how much I consume.
Why is it evil?
Because it's stealth. Your body doesn't release leptin when HFC hits your system. Leptin is th stuff that tells your brain your full.
Without it, you're going to suck down all 44 ounces if that monsterous big gulp. The only thing that'll stop you is over-expanding. But by the time you get a stomach ache, it's too late-all 560 calories are in and on their way to your butt.
Because 20.6 million people over 20 in the USA have diabetes. Of these, 2.5 are of Latin American heritage. And 9.7 million of the grand total are women. I'd just as soon stay off the list.

As a fellow Latina, it also saddens me to hear that so many Hispanics/Latinos are sick.
You’re heading in the right direction in that you are teaching others about how bad HFCS is for our bodies.
But come on, muchacha – you’ve got to practice what you preach! Give up the Coke!
If I did it so can you.

I am not of the Latina persuasion, however, am right there with you on HFCS. I do have one Coca-Cola per week but other than that, try to steer clear of the leptin-inhibiting stuff.

And now I’m on a mission to make sure it’s not in half the store-bought foods in my house.
