HIV Positive Latina Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize

Argentinian Patricia Peréz, is nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, due to her fighting against AIDS since the late 80's.
Peréz is one of five survivors among 30 women who found the ICW (International Community of Women Living with HIV/AIDS).
She is part of the International Directive Board and the current Regional secretary of ICW Latina (ICW for the South American Region).
It's the first time, since the creation of the Nobel Prizes, that a woman living with HIV is nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
ICW Latina is present in 20 Latin American countries, where Peréz works constantly, gathering groups of HIV positive women. The Organization's projects and work (along with governments and UN agencies) are focused in improving the quality of life and the rights of Latin American women, girls and teenagers.
