I don't make it to Buenos Aires very often anymore. My wife and I used to get there three or four times a year. We had a ten day itinerary that we followed religiously: one night in Miami, two days in Rio, five days in Buenos Aires, two days in Caracas, then back to Miami for a night.
The trip was always a pleasant change from our life in Atlanta's suburbs. The nightlife of Latin America is more vibrant. We'd come home with a case of Argentinean wine and a few trinkets.
You worry a little when you're on the road: home security, the pets, the garden in summer. But in the romantic atmosphere of Buenos Aires, those sorts of worries fade quickly.
For the last few years, health has kept us from our regular trips. But in this year we may be able to return to our schedule. I look forward to seeing Rio again, And Buenos Aires…
