Surely its no news that not all mexican food is spicy. Most is in fact mild. But no doubt there is a good portion of Mexican cuisine that involves chili peppers either in the recipe or as something added after serving.
Adding a little kick to food is actually beneficial. For starters, chili peppers help with heavy meals because they stimulate the digestive process. Pretty handy when you're putting away heavy meals.
They're also effective blood thinners. Not a good choice for people with blood clotting problems or those about to go into surgery... But an excellent idea for people with blood circulation issues-like the kind that give you spider veins.
More? Yes, there's more. Chili peppers have antioxidants that help keep skin wrinkle free. And there is ongoing research exploring chili peppers as potential pain relief source.
