Jessica Alba must think that Latinos are morons
Jessica Alba said she feels "proud" of being a Latin super heroin in the U.S.A.!!!
Alba said today in Mexico she was "proud" of her Latin origins and to play the protagonist role in the second part of "fantastic four".
"I am very proud of my heritage and I believe that there's nothing better than having a character like this one, in an American movie (which reaches the entire world), to break with the stereotypes", she said in the Fantastic Four premier, in Mexico City.
She explained that she considers herself as American because her parents, her grandparents and herself were born in the US, but their origins are in Mexico, from where came her dark skin color and physical characteristics; her family values and her taste for Mexican food, among other things.
"Don't you think that it's wonderful and fantastic that somebody that is partly Latina is a super heroin?" she asked, trying to settle the controversy that arose when she said she was 100% American, in spite of her Latin last name.
She affirmed she wouldn't be where she is if it wasn't for her roots, and said AGAIN she's "very proud" to be in Mexico, from where she "obviously" comes.
Alba wished to be able to use her character's super powers to protect Latin immigration in the United States, which she considers a "very complicated issue that must be solved".
I'm disgusted. She has been doing some damage control, but this is almost outrageous. She must think Latinos are dumb. After saying she's 100% American, an "as a third-generation American, I feel as if I have finally cut loose." – and she DID say those things – now she wants to pose as a "one-woman Latin pride parade"? And after Alba cut loose from her Latin heritage, she's using it to promote the movie?
What her character in the Fantastic Four has to do with Latin stereotypes? Nothing! Latin super heroin? C'mon! She also never spoke about Latin immigration before. Jessica Alba must think that Latinos in general, and particularly Mexicans are morons. If she didn't think that, she wouldn't be trying to get away with such kind of BS.

If you’re born in America, it makes you an American; not a Canadian, not a Mexican. Being an American represents your nationality… NATIONALITY, not your ethnic heritage. Therefore, calling yourself Mexican-American would be appropriate. Anyway, this chick, Jessica Alba, has been confirmed over 3/4 Anglo-European descent.

What’s wrong with being proud of being American? She is an American of mexican descent…but, firstly, she is an American. If you are born in Chile, you are Chilean….& if you are born in the United States of Mexico, you are a mexican…She must be congratulated.. besides, what is latin? Are bolivian quechuas latin? Please, give me a break…!!!
