Monthly Balance - January 2007

Time for my "Monthly Balance".

This time it will be a little different from the past months; instead of listing my accomplishments and joys, I'll talk about something I want to share with you.

Well, things are definitely better since my last balance. I was right about the shooting star! :)

Now that I'm quite happier, I often think about my saddest moments last month, and I've learnt something very important:

Never let go of your hope!

It doesn't matter how bad things are in your life; if you don't have hope, you don't have anything. When you let go of your hope, you quit, you give up on yourself. And when you give up on yourself, well... you've already lost.

I know what I'm talking about, and I really want you to remember this. It's true what they say:

The darkest hour is just before dawn.

If you can't see a shooting star, talk to a friend. If you don't have a friend, talk to me! You can find hope everywhere, you just have to look for it. Hope is the only thing that can help you, when everything else is falling apart. It is as vital for us, human beings, as the air we breathe.
