Another Brazilian Classic: a very easy Chocolate Cake. The name - Nega Maluca - can be translated as "Crazy Black Woman"; it's crazily easy, crazily delicious, and it's black!
Ingredients:
2 cups flower
1 cup sugar
½ cup powdered chocolate (better chocolate = better cake)
1 tb spoon Baking powder
Vanilla extract to taste
2 eggs
1/3 cup oil
1 cup milk
Directions:
Mix all the ingredients, except for the milk. Heat the milk until it's almost boiling; add it to the other ingredients, and mix well. Pour the mix in a baking dish, greased with oil. Bake for 20-30 minutes, over medium heat. When you insert a knife on the center of the cake, and it comes out clean, It's done.

Isn't 3 tb (tablespoons?) baking powder too much of it? I've been looking for this recipe for years.... The one I tried had some sort of syrup poured over when still hot. Is it a variation? Thanks for your help.

Hi, Daphne! Sorry it took me so long to answer your comment. You're right, 3 tb spoons is too much! The right amount is 1tb spoon. That was a typo, one that could ruin the recipe!!! Thanks for noticing it!
I'll correct it. Regarding the syrup, you're also right. I'll publish a post with the (traditional) recipe today. Check it out, I hope you like it.
And if there are other Brazilian recipes you would like to get, let me know. Maybe I can help. Tchau! :)
