No, Shakira Is Not Getting Married in January

Right now, Shakira is in uruguay, in her house in José Ignacio (near Punta del Este) with her in-laws (Argentinian ex-president Fernando de la Rúa and his wife, Ines Pertiné), according to Uruguayan newspaper El Pais.

Although Shakira is accompanied by her fiancee's parents, Antonito de la Rúa hasn't arrived in "La Colorada", Shakira's property.

Also according to El Pais, Shakira would be planning her wedding for January 2008, which would take place in José Ignacio: "Some sources assured that the presence of Shakira is related to the proceedings necessary to be able to contract legal marriage in Uruguay".

However, only hours after the news got out, the rumor was denied by Shakira's PR agency:

"That's just rumors flying around", declared Shakira's spokesperson.

So, apparently the only reason Shakira is here is to spend some quality time with her fiancee's family, and enjoy the beauties of José Ignacio.

I really don't think Shakira will get married any time soon. She used to say "Yes, we'll get married,
when the time is right". Now, she has said "We'll get married eventually, or we won't, but we're together and that's what matters. We love each other and we want to stay like that. Why fix something that's not broken?"

It seems she is loosing interest, if you ask me.
