Petmeds, Belly Rubbing, and the Value of Dogs

Do you have a dog? I hate to admit this, but my Shih Tzu is my best friend…
Think of the things you do for your dog: Alpo, stuffed toys that squeak, long walks, Petmeds, and the belly rubbing.
My dog (her name is Macy) is the reason my blood pressure is as low as it is. I think it's been scientifically proven that petting your dog lowers your blood pressure. She also makes sure I get my exercise (which at my age can be important) and she keeps my mind sharp (since I have to remember lots of things – like the phone number of the lady that cuts here hair and when to take her to see the vet).
Macy's not my first dog. I've had three other dogs. Macy probably won't be my last dog. But for now, at least, she's a very important part of my life. It's not always easy to travel with a dog, but Macy's loves to travel with me to South America.
