RBD News: New Member, English Album, Maite's Wedding and More

Pedro Damián has confirmed the rumors; RBD, the most popular Mexican band is searching for a seventh member among their fans. All the fans who wish to be part of RBD could fulfill their dream, they only need to follow all the news and promotions.

"We have been doing the soap for over four years, a year has gone since the soap ended, there are really few things going on, I believe that it will be easy for the new member to integrate", assured Pedro Damián. "Yes, she or he can be a member and become a part of the band, the fan will have to go through a series of evaluations", he said.

Poncho Herrera spoke about the campaign to search for the new member of RBD among the fans, as just another promotion of the group: "Exactly, the seventh member (will be) a good RBD fan."

Regarding RBD next steps, they are planning the release of "RBD, La Familia" on air TV (in Mexico). There are 13 chapters and the series will be on air since September 6, every Thursday.

RBD also will be the world-wide image of an important department store, and will represent a soda (which store or brand haven't been disclosed yet).

"It is a campaign for a very commercially powerful soft drink; few artists have access to this kind of promotions, before us there were shakira and Michael Jackson", said Pedro Damián. Pepsi, anyone? ;)

Last week RBD left to the United States, to begin their tour. They arrived very early at the airport of Mexico City. Anahí was still sleepy and said that there wasn't any fans at the airport because it was very early: "I believe they are as asleep as I am; we were saved from the pushes, but not from the early wake-up call".

Cristopher Uckerman declared that they listened to some songs for the new RBD album the day before:

"I presented two songs, it seems that we'll see about one of them, we listened to 14 songs yesterday and 6 for the English album", he said.

Maite Perroni, asked about her intentions of getting married, answered: "That is the question of the year and I always answer the same, I'm very happy with my relationship, I'm fine, everything at the right time; and right now there hasn't been time, but we are very happy and we are really fine".
