Latin Music

Public Radio International did a story last week on 68 year old Calypso Rose from Tobago. She may very well be nominated for an award next year for her upcoming album.
PRI starts this story off with more on Buika, but Calypso Rose takes up most of the five minute program. Calypso Rose's real name is McArtha Lewis. In 1966 she wrote the calypso anthem "Fire in Me Wire."
There's a good chance she get a nomination or two next year when the Latin Grammys roll back around...
