Today I have two CD's to recommend:
Bossa n' Stones and Bossa n' Roses.
These are two very original compilations (three, to be accurate, because there are two Bossa n'Stones). Basically, they took some of the best hits of the Rolling Stones and the Guns n'Roses and turn them into bossa nova style.
The result is really nice. Bossa Nova is a Brazilian musical style, born in the 50's. It's soft and relaxing; its most famous piece is "Garota de Ipanema", by Tom Jobim, one of the creators of the Bossa Nova movement.
I specially like the Bossa n' Roses CD. It has almost all of my favorites; and it's surprisingly fresh. Although the versions are completely different from the originals, you can still recognize each song when you hear them.
