Since Facebook launched it's Spanish version, it has gotten more and more popular not only among US Spanish speakers, but in Latin America. MySpace, hi5 and Sonico are also doing well.

In general, social networking sites are really taking off, what with there being more people online.

According to ComScore - a paid subscription service that audits the Internet audiences - the number of Internet users in the 5 major countries of the region (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Mexico) approached 46.3 million in January (2008). - Analytics 2.0

So who's the biggest?

That depends on how the calculations are made, but it looks like hi5 is in the lead.

And if we focus only on the Facebook-MySpace rivalry... Facebook's international numbers have reached MySpace.

So there are your heavy Spanish-speaking-world hitters: Hi5, Sonico, MySpace, and Facebook. Where are you?
