Sweet Buenos Aires

I am a "sweet junkie".

I love virtually everything that contains sugar: chocolate, cake, pudding, candy... And I can't live without ice cream. Ice cream, for me, is the supreme sweet pleasure. Have you tried vanilla ice cream with a few drops of whisky, and a lot of whipped cream? OH MY GOD, if you know what I mean...

Sorry, I'm rambling. Let me get to the point of this post: the Government of Buenos Aires web portal has published "Ruta Dulce Porteña" - a photo report about the most famous and traditional "sweets and treats" places of the city. The photos are delicious; I almost cried watching the slideshow.

From the artisanal bonbons of "Bombonella", to the ice cream sandwich of the ice cream shop "Scannapieco", to the Middle West delights of "Damasco", they take us in a yummy trip, that left my mouth watering. You'll also find typical treats, like the "chocolate con churros" in "La Giralda", and the "facturas" of "La Helvética".

Enjoy the slideshow, unless you're hungry. If you're hungry, watching it will become a torture, LOL!
