The World's Best Blog: Generación Y, from Cuba

Thord Daniel Hedengren over at the Blog Herald covered Deutsche Welle's Blog Awards last week.
Generación Y ("Generation Y"), a Cuban blog in Spanish authored by Yoani Sanchez, got the award for World's Best Blog. According to Deutsche WelleYoani Sanchez gives voice to an entire generation of Cubans and provides the world with a window into Cuba through her clear and poetic writing, the BOBs international jury of bloggers and media experts said.
Yoani has to email her blog entries to friends outside Cuba in order to get them online.
Generation Y is a popular term that refers to people born between 1977 and 2000 (source argue about exact dates). They are often referred to as the first generation of Digital Natives.
