What a Sexy Movie!

I've just finished watching The Mask of The Zorro. I've been meaning to watch it since it was released, but I couldn't find an opportunity. Today I finally found the time to see it, and I have to say it's a really good movie. Despite the fact the plot is not the classic Zorro legend, it's a creative development of the original story; an excellent modern fairy talelinks, beautifully told.

I've just finished watching The Mask of The Zorro. I've been meaning to watch it since it was released, but I couldn't find an opportunity. Today I finally found the time to see it, and I have to say it's a really good movie. Despite the fact the plot is not the classic Zorro legend, it's a creative development of the original story; an excellent modern fairy tale, beautifully told.

The casting is quite nice; in my opinion, the actors in the movie were the best choices for every character. I've always liked Antonio Banderas, but his Zorro was certainly one of the highlights of his career. He delivers a charming, passionate acting; he IS the Zorro. Not a single woman would deny that; and I'm sure more than one of us wishes to be Elena (Catherine Zeta-Jones).

The actress, although she's not Latin nor Hispanic, gives us a believable Spanish heroine, full of beauty, grace and intelligence. There's another of the points of interest in this movie: a female leading character that takes action in the important events, instead of waiting in the background for someone to rescue her and save the world. Elena is a wild, sexy, independent woman, who is capable of fighting with a sword almost as well as the Zorro. Isn't that exciting?

Oh, and let me tell you: the scene of the sword fight between the Zorro and Elena is one of the most romantic, steamy movie sequences I've seen before. If you've ever fantasized about forbidden love, troubled dark heroes or mysterious men, you'll agree with me. The fight is a poetic choreography of a passionate relationship, between two powerful persons. There's plenty of romantic-hot moments in the movie, but this one is, by far, the hottest.

Of course I have to mention Anthony Hopkins as Don Diego de la Vega, the original Zorro. His talent is well shown; it's almost unbelievable how much he can say with just the look in his eyes. He brings this Hispanic character to life with remarkable professionalism, adding a great humanity to the aged Zorro.

There's much more in the Mask of the Zorro: convincing secondary characters, believable sword fights (although some of the stunts pulled of by the Zorro are a little exaggerated), beautiful wardrobe and realistic settings; but, most of all, a romantic, heroic and compelling story.

Either if you have seen it or not, I suggest you make an appointment with your lover (Latin or not, LOL), to watch it together this week. Get carried away, ask your partner to be your Zorro. Inspired by the sexy scenes, maybe you'll find the "Elena" hidden inside of you.
